About the Role:

The Practice Area Lead (PAL) will lead and grow one of Bryant Park Consulting's NetSuite ERP practice areas, overseeing a talented team of consultants and ensuring successful project delivery. This role is responsible for developing and executing the practice's strategic vision, managing resources, fostering a culture of excellence, and driving business development initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced professional with a proven track record of leadership, project management, and client relationship building. They will possess deep knowledge of ERP implementations, project lifecycles, best practices, and industry trends, and be passionate about delivering exceptional client service.

Practice Area Leads will possess a blend of technical, business, and leadership skills contributing to confident decision-making in a fast-paced environment. A PAL will demonstrate sales vs delivery situational awareness; providing a balance to facilitate growth balanced with a consistently high quality of services. Each PAL is expected to possess a deep industry knowledge for the practice they oversee.

Responsibilities:

  • Practice Leadership:
    • Provide leadership and direction to the NetSuite practice area.
    • Develop and execute the practice's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.
    • Motivate practice team members with encouragement designed to achieve and exceed high expectations.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related to NetSuite.
  • Team Management:
    • Directly manage a team of NetSuite Engagement Managers
      • Indirectly manage a team of NetSuite consultants
    • Conduct performance management, mentorship, and career development for the practice
      • Establish career development roadmaps within the practice
      • Set measurable objectives and milestones for transparent career progression within the practice
    • Work closely with the Resource Management Department to oversee and manage resource allocation and utilization
      • Make final decisions on project staffing
      • Balance billable and internal utilized activities of team members to facilitate practice growth, improvement and sustainability
    • Work closely with the Finance department to strategize on headcount plans.
    • Work closely with the Talent department to recruit, hire, and onboard new consultants.
    • Active participation in the interview process making hiring decisions for new prospective candidates.
  • Project Delivery:
    • Serve as the project sponsor on practice-specific engagements.
    • Oversee the successful delivery of NetSuite implementation and optimization projects.
      • Participate in Steering Committee meetings providing executive alignment
      • Perform periodic quality checks for project timelines, budget, and overall client satisfaction
    • Make critical decisions on project scope to remove blockers and barriers to project success.
    • Manage project risks and issues.
    • Contribute to the development of proposals and SOWs.
      • Write, review, and sign project-related change orders.
  • Business Development:
    • Identify and develop strategies for new practice-related business opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.
    • Contribute to the development of proposals and SOWs.
  • Practice Operations:
    • Understanding of financial and operational aspects of businesses to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
    • Work alongside the Finance Department to establish practice budgets.
    • Manage the practice's P&L (Income Statement).
    • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Essential:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Information Systems, Entrepreneurship, or a related field.
    • 7+ years of experience in ERP consulting
    • 3+ years of management experience overseeing and organization of 20+ individuals
    • Proven track record of successful practice and organizational development in a Professional Services industry
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Desirable:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
    • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems.
      • NetSuite certifications are a plus.
    • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools.


Salary Range: $190,000 to $235,000

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
