Job Description/Responsibilities:

The Retailer Services Coordinator role will be focused on driving volume through partnership with Walmart Inc, distributors, state teams, pricing team, category team and National Key Account team. This role is responsible for the item setup process both within Walmart and Sam’s Club for new/expanded items and manage any ongoing item maintenance needs to ensure product can scan at the backdoor and through the register with accurate pricing. The day-to-day of this role will have a heavy focus on pricing and will lead the transition of the Sazerac portfolio to SIM (Supplier Item Management) at Walmart. This individual will be responsible for proactively monitoring pricing vs. competition and will work with state teams and distributors to understand and execute pricing and deals. This role will be an integral contributor to the growth of the business by working closely with the National Account Managers and proactively identifying and executing on opportunities.  

 

Location: This is remote position that must be based in Northwest Arkansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Missori or Texas. 

 

Key Responsibilities (job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory and compliance standards for the state):

  • Proactively identifies inventory issues via open order tracking and management. Tracks and identifies bourbon allocation orders and clearly communicates internally and externally to customer ordering teams and distributors.
  • Ensure that all direct customer orders are tracked and on-time at each plant location, thereby maintaining stability in the production schedule and improving production efficiency. Provide exceptional customer service to our customers by monitoring shipment activity and proactively communicating any issues and providing solutions.
  • Demonstrate responsiveness, integrity, trust, professionalism and customer-first attitude reflecting positively on our brands and distilleries. Notify National Account Manager and/or direct customers of product availability or other issues with orders. Provide exceptional customer service by serving as a professional and friendly point of contact for both internal and external contacts.
  • Create and communicate weekly inventory & PO tracking reports. Where POs have exceeded timelines, generate exception report. Also, report periodically on timelines, processes, and improvement opportunities. KPI reporting on a monthly basis; ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Consistently look for incremental improvements. Support development of policies and procedures to be used across all Sazerac plants, for domestic and global shipment communication. Once approved, develop tracking to ensure we are operating under the agreed upon policies and procedures.
  • Actively engages internal sales and operations stakeholders to educate, support, simplify and synergize direct business processes.
  • Regularly complete item forms, identify errors and omissions and amend data records according to directions. Submit on-going UPC changes per each customer's process, maintaining accurate detail and clear reporting.
Qualifications/Requirements:

Required:

  • Possesses detail oriented, self-motivated, innovative and solution-oriented mindset
  • Strong customer service aptitude, ability to work with all levels of the organization from Field Level to Executive Management
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong proficiency of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years experience working with Walmart or Sam's Club item maintenance systems
  • 1 year pricing experience
  • Experience in Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall
  • Strong analytical and technical skills (VIP, iDIG, Luminate, COGNOS)
  • Experience working remotely at least 1 year

Preferred:

  • Distributor and/or broker sales management background
  • Category management experience
  • Commercial sales analysis experience
