Opportunity

CACI is looking for a Technical Administrative Assistant to support the Military Sealift Command (MSC) Overhaul Management Team (OMT) during shipyard repair availabilities. This role would provide basic administrative assistance and technical assistance using the MSC Shipboard Automated Maintenance Management System (SAMM) on work being performed on various ships during an availability period of approximately 2 months duration. Overtime work may be required. This position will entail working with customers and third-party contractors and therefore requires excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative assistance in shipyard office and on the vessel
  • Collect, file and store paper documents in files and organize paper and electronic files for fast retrieval
  • Arrange appointments, meetings, and prepare meeting spaces for use
  • Prepare and format presentations
  • Duplicate, collate, roll, and bind or fasten documents and drawings for distribution
  • Scan documents, and correct scanned documents for modification and reuse
  • Prepare and distribute reports and compile data
  • Maintain consumable supply inventory and report low levels to the contractor
  • Coordinate and track administrative correspondence
  • Part Time on Call position - Full Time when on travel

Technical Responsibilities:
  • Maintain local SAMM network and train OMT on SAMM usage
  • Establish and maintain a point-of-contact list
  • Enter Condition Found Reports into SAMM and track the response by the MSCREP
  • Track status of Contract Change Orders (CCO) and update OMT on daily status
  • Develop and maintain spreadsheets for MSC OMT
  • Use SAMM for the planning, research, execution, and maintenance of records across the ashore and afloat enterprise
  • Enter data and draft reports provided by shipyard, ship's force, contractors, and members of the OMT into SAMM
  • Review weekly status reports and SITREPS for accuracy against data in SAMM
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes on behalf of the OMT, compile weekly reports from meeting minutes and other SAMM actions including recording actions into SAMM database to include Port Engineering Notebook
  • Maintain security, confidentiality, and non-disclosure of contract and technical information and documents encountered
  • Deliver and pickup documents and materials within the shipyard wearing personal protective equipment


Qualifications

Required
  • Read and write in fluent English,
  • Ability to walk up and down ladders and walk long distances onboard a vessel and in a shipyard
  • Ability to lift to 25-pound packages
  • Intermediate proficiency Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be able to travel 100% of the duration of the task


Desired
  • Active SECRET clearance highly desirable
  • SAMM training and experience
  • Previous job-related experience (government/military or private)
  • Safety training

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$51,800-$106,200
