Web Developer Job Summary:
This position is responsible for leading our development team in software development projects, assist as a web developer, perform DBA functions on both development and production SQL database servers. This is an on-premises position.
Lead Web Developer will:
ü Manage development projects, utilizing agile methodology.
ü Work with stakeholders of projects to make sure goals are being met.
ü Provide technical expertise to help team complete tasks and meet goals.
ü Ensure the organization follows all best practices.
ü Help design, develop, troubleshoot, test, and deploy applications and services
ü Administrate source control to ensure repositories are being utilized properly.
ü Administrate databases used by in house applications, work with development team on schema changes, data conversions, query tuning when needed
ü Monitor the performance of applications along with their respective databases

Qualified Candidates:
  • Possess knowledge of PHP, SQL databases, PHP based frameworks, React, React Native, Nextjs, Typescript, JWTs
  • Understand and utilize agile development methodologies
  • Familiar with development, testing and production environments
  • Familiar with administration of Linux based servers and Apache web servers
  • Have the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
  • Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times when representing Genesis Health Clubs; are organized and orderly in their work.
  • Have the ability to participate in strategy development to support organization goals and objectives
  • Are passionate about building a team atmosphere among the department

Position Reports to: IT Director

Compensation Structure: This position is compensated with a salary wage that is commensurate with applicable experience & professional skillset. Eligible for all Genesis Health Club employee benefits as outlined in the company handbook.
