In this role you will focus on designing, configuring, deploying, and testing many network hardware, software pieces, and endpoints. What You'll Be Doing: Network documentation is essential Coordinate special projects, including network-related hardware installation and cabling plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software deployments and system installation, backup, maintenance, and troubleshooting Administer and maintain Internal Network Technical problem isolation and resolution capability. Review and interpret alerts and provide advanced response, analysis, and incident management. Promotes and maintains a positive image of Parsons to all personnel, members, volunteers, vendors, and the community. Cross-train others on essential job duties for coverage when planned absences occur. Ensures that critical and urgent support cases are handled appropriately; be available for support outside regular business hours when needed. Be responsive to end-user and product development program service and support requests that exceed tier 1 service desk capabilities. Some travel may be required What Required Skills You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in computer information systems or related field or 5 to 7 years of equivalent experience. Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) certification or higher 3+ years of hands-on experience with Juniper Networks equipment and technologies Expertise working hands-on with Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model layer two switching and layer three network protocols. Strong routing knowledge to include BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostics, and network analytics tools Familiarity with ADVPN/IPsec topology Familiarity with Network automation using Ansible or other tools Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of network concepts, including the OSI model, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and VoIP technologies What Desired Skills You'll Bring: Expertise with the Juniper network ecosystem Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS) certification or higher Hands-on experience with deploying and managing ADVPN/IPsec topology Hands-on experience with Network Automation using Ansible Familiarity with VMware and NetApp technologies and supporting virtualized environments Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto network equipment Exceptional problem-solving skills Strong interpersonal and verbal communication Must be flexible with a “can do” attitude and ability to remain professional under high-pressure situations The individual must demonstrate a solid ability to communicate with technical and non-technical recipients via email, written, and verbal reports. Excellent Documentation Skills Familiarity with Agile and Kanban systems Familiarity with collaboration, documentation, and knowledge management using Atlassian Confluence Familiarity with task creation, task management, task collaboration, and knowledge management using Atlassian Jira Security + certificate Ability to obtain a Secret level Security Clearance Security Clearance Requirement: None This position is part of our Corporate team.
