If this sounds like you take a closer look at what this role entails.<br><strong>AS A SOFTWARE ENGINEER YOU'LL</strong><br><br><ul><li>Research, design, develop, and own solutions that facilitate communications with 1 million plus Automox agents deployed globally.</li><li>Lead by example by championing software development best practices, and writing well-designed code.</li><li>Extend, enhance, and evolve event driven services to provide new and exciting features in the Automox platform and in our endpoint software.</li><li>Contribute to continual improvement by testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability improvements, and automation.</li><li>Produce detailed specifications, and contribute in all phases of the engineering lifecycle.</li><li>Operate with a quality-first mindset. Your approach to testing sets you apart from your peers.</li><li>Make data-driven decisions. You understand the impact of your development before it reaches production.</li></ul><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong><br><br><ul><li>Programming experience in Golang or Java is required. That being said, the right candidate will leverage their extensive engineering background to be impactful in any language.</li><li>2+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications deployed in a high availability SaaS environment.</li><li>Experience building production applications in cloud environments (AWS or GCP).</li><li>Experience working as a Software Engineer on applications with continuous client connectivity is desired.</li><li>Enjoy scaling microservice architectures and large-scale event ingestion platforms. Have familiarity scaling websockets, real-time messaging systems (Kafka, MQTT), and non-relational database systems (DynamoDB), networking, DevOps.</li><li>Excellent communicator, thrives within a tightly knit, cross-functional remote team environment.</li></ul><br><strong>LOCATION</strong><br><br>We are a fully distributed company of remote workers with concentrated hubs in Austin, TX, Tampa, FL, and Boulder, CO.
