The Family Wealth Alliance (FWA), a division of Schwab Advisor Services, connects multifamily offices and family wealth firms with the people, ideas, and solutions they need to thrive. The Senior Manager of Marketing & Communications is responsible for shaping FWA’s external voice and ensuring a strong, consistent presence for members, prospects, and partners across the industry. This role oversees all marketing, PR, communications, and digital channels, effectively articulating the FWA story and delivering high-quality, on-brand outputs. This role reports to the President of FWA and sits on the FWA Leadership Team.

What You’ll Do


As Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications, you will develop and execute the marketing and communications strategy that supports FWA’s events, thought leadership, and member and prospect engagement. You will act as a brand steward, master copywriter, and PR strategist, managing external messaging and ensuring every touchpoint strengthens FWA’s value proposition in the family wealth industry.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Marketing Strategy & Execution
    • Develop and execute integrated marketing plans to promote FWA’s thought leadership, events, research, membership, sponsorship, and community benefits.
    • Use data-driven strategies and analytics to measure impact and continuously improve engagement.
    • Partner with internal teams to craft messaging and campaigns tailored to member and prospect audiences, ensuring messaging supports organizational priorities.
    • Drive the voice, brand, and tone of FWA communications.
    • Supervise design, copywriting, and production of all marketing collateral and communications in alignment with FWA brand standards and basic design best practices.
  • PR & Media Relations
    • Serve as FWA’s lead on media relations, nurturing and managing press opportunities.
    • Draft press releases, media statements, and talking points for FWA leadership.
    • Build and maintain relationships with industry and business media outlets.
  • Communications & Brand Stewardship
    • Manage FWA’s brand guidelines and ensure consistent application across all touchpoints.
    • Oversee internal and external communications channels, including newsletters, announcements, promotional campaigns, PR, social media, and the FWA web site.
    • Monitor digital analytics and use insights to refine outreach and campaigns.
    • Collaborate with Schwab partners on communications alignment and compliance.
    • Write, edit, and proof communications with absolute precision — delivering letter-perfect, comma-perfect copy.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Alliance Research, Events, and Member Experience teams to ensure effective promotion and visibility.
    • Provide communications support to FWA leadership, ensuring consistency of messaging.
  • FWA Leadership Team Contribution
    • Contribute to FWA’s overall strategic direction, long-term growth strategies, budget priorities, and organizational decision-making as a member of the leadership team.
    • Guide and uphold FWA’s brand, mission, and values across internal and external touchpoints.
    • Act as a thought partner on the Member Acceptance Committee and other leadership forums.
    • Help manage major technology and operational initiatives, including vendor selection and implementation.
    • Help manage organizational compliance, business continuity, and risk processes.
    • Support cross-functional initiatives as needed, modeling collaboration and a One Schwab mindset.

The role is not available as fully remote. Must live within reasonable commuting distance from the following Charles Schwab campus locations:

  • Westlake, TX
  • Orlando, FL
What you have
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Creative agency experience highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage PR and media relations, including pitching, writing press releases, and coordinating media engagement.
  • Impeccable storytelling, editing, and proofreading skills — producing flawless, high-quality copy and setting the tone and voice for FWA.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media, web content, and digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with basic design principles and ability to oversee collateral development.
  • Ability to use data and analytics to inform and enhance engagement strategies.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with detail-oriented follow-through.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
