Get a sneak peek into life at ADESA!<br><br><strong>Role and Team</strong><br><ul><li>The Manager of Auction Special Operations will lead a team who is focused on supporting future and existing site integrations. The leader will spend their time partnering with site GMs, our Reconditioning Special Operations team along with other key cross-functional teams who are critical to executing seamless integrations. This role will be asked to travel with the existing Special Operations team and act as a senior leader and main resource when on-the-ground at Auction locations (up to 80% travel is required). Great candidates will have spent time leading within the ADESA auction business (internal candidates preferred) and have the demonstrated ability to lead and influence leaders at all levels. The ADESA Special Operations Manager must be highly skilled in communication, action planning, process execution, and demonstrate an ability to consistently align with company-wide goals as well as local-site goals.</li></ul><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li>Partner with Auction senior leadership, site leaders, and Special Operations leadership to create executable integration strategies that align with the goals and priorities of the organization as well as the local site.</li><li>Lead and supervise a team of Special Operations Leads to oversee the successful execution of site integration strategy; ensuring alignment on vision and driving standardization of processes.</li><li>Drive strategic planning and forecasting for the Special Operations team for new integration sites throughout the ADESA organization.</li><li>Utilize ADESA administrative systems to identify and execute auction process improvements necessary to unlock smooth and efficient integrations while maintaining a strong customer focus.</li><li>Own continuous standardization efforts pertaining to integration, training, and auction efficiency while supporting the growth of the ADESA organization.</li><li>Own the identification and facilitation of critical training needs within auction locations and provide ongoing support at integrated sites.</li><li>Report out on all relevant operation metrics to the Special Operations team, local site leadership teams, and senior ADESA leaders to maintain a constant pulse on achievements and challenges faced during site integration.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><br><br><strong>Qualifications</strong><br>To be able to do your job, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.<br><ul><li>Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience either in automotive or a lean manufacturing environment.</li><li>1 - 2 years tenure in ADESA Leadership.</li><li>Proven track record of leading and developing other entry- to mid-level leaders.</li><li>Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics.</li><li>Strong analytical thinking and organizational skills.</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to learn quickly and transfer knowledge.</li><li>Demonstrated functional expertise in all areas pertaining to ADESA's auction process.</li><li>A clean disciplinary record at Carvana/ADESA and has not received a PIP or CAR in the last 6 months.</li><li>Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, masks, and other protective garments and equipment.</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels.</li><li>Requires standing for extended periods of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking, stooping, pushing, and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.</li><li>Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality content in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.</li><li>Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.</li><li>Must be qualified to operate a motor vehicle and possess a valid driver's license.</li><li>Must have a demonstrated ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.</li><li>Must have the ability to physically operate vehicle equipment and tools.</li></ul><br><strong>ADESA Benefits and Perks</strong><br>Competitive Pay | Quality Benefits | Holiday and Paid Time Off | Education and Equipment Reimbursement Programs | Matching 401(k) | Career Path Opportunities | And More!<br><br><strong>Other Requirements</strong><br>To be able to do your job at ADESA, there are some basic requirements we want to share with you.
