Overview of the position

Change Healthcare is looking for an exceptional candidate to drive change, innovation, and process improvements as an influential Technical Program Director leading our Program Management Office. The ideal candidate will think outside the box to accelerate the delivery of our Enterprise Imaging cloud solutions. This role will be responsible for managing our portfolio of best-in-class cloud solutions. You will manage a team of Program / Project Managers and Scrum Masters implementing Agile practices while coordinating cross-functional teams focused on delivering new solutions to our expanding client base. Energy and focus will be key in your ability to drive our new cloud portfolio forward.

What will I be responsible for in this job?

  • Own the overall Software Development Life Cycle and manage complex software projects with significant bottom-line impact
  • Provide proactive leadership to projects and portfolio by initiating and coordinating cross-functional and cross-departmental meetings to help teams realize their full delivery potential
  • Lead release management for the portfolio. Help teams prioritize, plan, track, and manage internal and external commitments, project risks, dependencies, and deliverables
  • Continue to improve ways of working and delivering by conducting regular retrospectives, improving processes, tools, communication, and measuring what matters
  • Work with technical teams, product owners / managers and leadership to ensure alignment with engineering and product priorities and timelines, establish metrics for tracking, and present crisp, regular updates ensuring shared understanding of goals, tracking of goal progress and risk assessments
  • Hire, motivate, mentor and manage program management team made up of program / project managers and scrum masters
  • Track and communicate program KPIs and portfolio OKRs

What are the requirements?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
  • 10+ years of experience in building and leading strong software teams
  • Strong business and technical vision
  • Solid software development background including extensive SDLC experience
  • Proven track record of establishing and improving development processes utilizing agile methodologies and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban (odiz.com / blog / difference-between-scrum-vs-kanban / ) , XP, etc
  • What other skills / experience would be helpful to have?

  • PMP, CSM, TOGAF, CBAP or corresponding industry certification in project management, enterprise architecture or business analysis
  • Deep hands-on technical expertise
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with major cloud platforms (i.e AWS, GCP, Azure)
